Monday has been set aside for groups, company’s etc. to gather again and experience the myriad of culinary experiences available in San Diego.

For those desiring a less intense option, Steve Geary is a member of the Southwestern Yacht Club located in Point Loma and while their Club dining room is shut down on Monday, they will have a cash bar open and it can handle a limited number of small groups desiring to have food delivered and enjoy a less stressful evening with classmates.
Limited space available. Must be reserved with Steve Geary in advance. Call Steve Geary and get your allocation.
Many in San Diego celabrate this day so make your plans accordingly.

Tour of USS Midway (CV-41)
When: May. 6, 9:30AM
Where: USS Midway
Description
CV-41 Midway Tour lead by Bill, a docent for the Midway guided tours are 2 1/2 to 3 hours from arrival to finish. As an additional note:the normal price for a self-guided tour of the Midway is $24 for veterans (as of Dec. 2024). However, this docent guided tour is being offered to all Class of '72 reunion attendees for FREE! (Thank Steve Geary). That said, although the guided docent tour on the Midway is free of charge, if you want a round trip bus ride to the Midway, the cost will be $40.
This will be on the Tuesday, May 6th and if you choose to go by bus, you need to be on the "R/T Bus and Embarcadero Walking Tour". If you have already registered for the " R/T Bus - Balboa Park", please email Larry Aubrecht so I have record of the requested change.
80% of the tour is wheelchair friendly. The remaining 20% is the engine room on the lowest deck and the flight bridge deck that both require climbing vertical ladders. We will need a list of the names of attendees so the museum knows who is on-board in case of an emergency evacuation of the ship.
If you want to join this tour, make contact directly with Larry Aubrecht, (303) 933-2261 but first email Larry so he can track your request. (laubrecht@lgfconsulting.com)
