Presentation - The Army from after Vietnam to Operation Desert Storm by Franklin Hancock
When: Jun. 5, 4:00PM
Where: Galt House
Description
At our mini-reunion in Louisville, KY, on Friday we will hear our Classmate, Frank Hancock, discuss his book, Operation Desert Storm: How Two Young Intelligence Analysts and an Infantry Battalion Changed the War in Iraq.
From his experience on the ground in Iraq, Frank will describe how the insights and determination of two intelligence analysts prevented disaster in combat. On a broader front, Frank will also talk about how the US Army went from being a hollow force in the aftermath of Vietnam to the outstanding professional force that triumphed in Desert Storm. That transition was the thread that ran through the Army careers of so many of us.
